Step-1

Visit Blogger

Go to blogger.com from any web browser.

Step-2

Sign-in to Blogger

Click the button   Create Your Blog  or  Sign In .

Blogger is a product of Google, so you need a Google Account to sign into Blogger.

If you don't have a Google Account (Gmail), click on   Create Your Blog . This will take you to a screen where you can create an account to use with Blogger.

Select one of your gmail account, if none, create a new gmail account.

Step-3

Display Name

Enter a Display Name and click  Continue to Blogger . The display name is the name that your readers will know you by.

This is a blogger profile display name so this screen appears only for first time signing up. You can change the display name later.

Step-4

"Create a new blog" section

"Create a new blog" section appears. In this section, you will give a blog "Title", blog "Adress" and choose the blog theme.

Type a title for your blog.

• Title represents the name of your brand.
• Keep it short and simple.
• Before giving a title, forecast the possible areas of your blog.
• Choose the most suited keywords in order to include them in title.

Step-6

Blog Address

Type a URL for your blog

• Enter the name in the space provided. Google will tell you automatically whether that address is available or not.

• The domain name must not be less than 3 characters.

• Avoid lengthy blog address

• You cannot use any spaces or punctuation other than dashes in a domain name.

• Hyphen is not recommended, it is better to use plain wordings.

• Your blog address having a suffix of .blogspot.com this means that Google is hosting your blog. 

• You can upgrade to custom domains (like .com, .in, .net, .org) anytime in the future, preferably after getting some good blogging experience.

• The address is more or less your title and reflects your brands image. Using title in address is customary and is preferred by almost most of the bloggers. So, use the words (or keywords) that you used in framing the title. 

• You may change the title and blog address anytime later, but make sure that it should be done before publishing your blog.

If blog address is not available

• Sometimes, the preferred domain name for your blog is already taken. 
• If name is not available then jumble the words and try till you find something appropriate.

If you find that the name you wanted is already taken there are a few things you can do:

• Add dashes between words.
• Add numbers at the end of name
• or try other names
• if a name is not taken by anyone, then message displays as shown in image below:

Choose a theme for your blog

• This is the basic design and layout of your blog.
• Always choose basic theme, easy to load, more faster while loading
• Choose a theme and click Create blog!.
• Now your blog is created, but you are not done yet!
• There are a few settings that you need to set on your newly created BlogSpot blog to make it easy to use.

Now you can manage your blog by visiting blogger.com, click sign in, enter your details and control your blog from the blogger dashboard.
